错因拼写。前半截 know 是题面给好的，要补的是 -ledge；你写成了 -leage，而英语里没有 -leage 这个后缀。

记住knowledge = know + ledge。同族词 acknowledge、pledge 也都是 -ledge，可以一起记；对照句里的 mental、understanding 都是名词，这一空必然是名词。

错因词性判断。题面前缀是 sen-，你补了 ced 凑成 sensed（动词过去式「感觉到」）；但这一空前面有定冠词 the，且与 thought、experience 并列，必须是复数名词 senses「感官」。

记住the senses = 五官、感官（the five senses）。凡是 the + ___，先排除动词形式；and 连接的并列项词性要一致。

错因词义 + 句子成分。reflex 是名词「反射、本能反应」，填进去这句话就没有谓语了；这里主语 Consciousness 后面缺动词，要 refer to「指的是」的第三人称单数 refers。

记住X refers to Y = X 指的是 Y；主语是单数第三人称时别丢 -s。reflex（名词，重音在前）和 refers（动词）只差一个字母，靠"这句缺不缺谓语"来定。
